Welcome to Christ Church Middle School, an "outstanding School" Ofsted 2008. Please feel free to look around, and find out about our school and the local area. Our Headteacher is Mr Waghorn and our Deputy Head is Mrs Graham. We are part of the Stone pyramid of schools and we have Years 5, 6, 7 and 8 pupils. We are proud of our school and our pupils enjoy spending their time here.
Recent Ofsted Inspection
Christ Church Middle School is an "Outstanding School". The excellent teamwork of the leadership and management team ensures that pupils receive outstanding care, guidance and support in all aspects of school life. The school focuses upon creating a calm, orderly environment for the pupils and the range of cultural, sporting and extra curricular activities is seen as impressive. Pupils' standards when they join the school in Year 5 are average. By the end of Key Stage 2, they have made good progress and their standards are just above average. When they leave at the end of Year 8, a significant majority of the pupils are performing well above the average in Mathematics and Science and average in English. The progress of the students in lessons is due to the excellent standards in teaching.
The school aims to:
- Enable each pupil to develop their full potential within a Christian ethos.
- Encourage Christian values, as expressed in a daily act of worship, which form the basis of school life.
- Foster the need to value and care for those within the wider community.
- Provide a happy, pleasant and stimulating learning environment in which the contribution of each individual is valued.
